What I know for Sure: Zayda Edition

Hi loves 🙂

The title of this post is inspired by Oprah’s book What I Know For Sure in which she shares her life wisdom and with each lesson unravels a story.

I recently had dinner with my mom, and during our time together I started thinking about all of my what I know for sures.

So here they are:

You don’t have to have it all figured out and frankly hardly anyone does.

Even the people that look like they do, usually don’t haha. Now I just try to do the best that I can and incorporate more of the things that make me happy into my everyday routine.

Life has ups and downs and it’s ok.

You won’t recognize the good if you don’t experience the bad.

Old ladies give the best advice.

If you don’t believe me listen the “Don’t Keep your Day Job” podcast episode with Bobbi Brown.

The people with the best energy are the most attractive.

We aspire to have the “perfect” look, but the beings with the best auras are the ones that others gravitate towards and are truly the most beautiful.

It’s the little things that you do for yourself that bring you the biggest joy.

I recently, finally, treated myself to classes I’d wanted to take for years and man, nothing has made me happier. Also I buy myself flowers every week. When I walk into my apartment and see them, I instantly smile! 🙂

Your gut is always right.

Try listening to it sometime.

The greater the struggle the better the come up.

Be proud of the hardships that you’ve encountered as they’ve helped you improve, become more resourceful and I hope a more compassionate person

It’s ok to say no.

Decline. And guess what? You don’t have to give an excuse.

It’s ok to say yes.

It’s a good idea to let go of fears, pre-conceived notions and limitations and just TRY, GO FOR IT, SAY YES!

Do the best that you can where you are.

Even if you don’t like it, you’re there for the moment, so might as well make it count.

Join a community, it makes a difference.

You’ll be surprised how much you can learn and grow from joining a community of like minded people!

People usually don’t do things to hurt you .

Most of the time they’re too consumed in their own thoughts, so don’t take it personally.

Everyone will have their heart broken at least once.

And you will not die from it haha.

Decide who your ideal You is and make decisions in his / her honor.

He/ She will thank you.

Choose wisely what to do with your time.

As you can do anything you want but not everything you want.

The only person who can hold you back or push you forward is you!

So what’s it gonna be?

What are your what I know for sures? I would love to know!!!
